"Letting go of all i am,
Loosing my life to gain it back again.
Not really sure of who I should have been . . ."
So many directions to go with this, it is difficult to decide where to start.
So I beg your forgiveness in my not going into in-depth detail at this point.
Just some musings . . .
Guilt, Shame & Fear (GSF for short) have been coming up a lot in the things I've been reading both in books and on blogs.
Since "There is now therefor no condemnation in Christ", why do so many Christians (and the Institutions) collaborate with GSF?
I believe as we embrace our brokenness we embrace what Papa God is doing right here, right now. This is contrary to what the world, the Matrix, the Institution and (yes) our Shadow tells us. They tell us to get our act together, to get the right info, the right opinion, the right knowledge and rules and regulations and law and . . .
Yuck, yuck, & puke.
What if we really got the revelation that Papa God Loves us, right where we are at?
Brokenness and all? I mean, beyond just having that in our cranium but having it as an abiding truth in our hearts?
What transformation would that affect? In us, around us?
God works within our brokenness.
That's a lot to meditate upon.
More to follow. But for right now, I invite you to watch this "secular" clip. It's a little over 20 minutes. See if you can find some resonance in it . . .

You remind my of some of my own musings last week--thoughts about how much safer it is to camp in the "I am a worm" zone,(and of course, there are verses to support that) but all that humility grooming is like a two-legged stool if not balanced with a faith that allows God to say intimately and personally what He feels, knows and desires about and for us, and to allow ourselves to bask in the wonder of how breath-taking his love talk can be. The danger that holds people back from receiving this sort of love-revelation from God is a "noble" fear of the pride that lurks so very near it. (David the Psalmist is the best illustration of both the willingness to hear God's passion and of becoming too free with himself as he walked in that self-image.) I think that's why so many play it safe and hang onto the worm image. But to do so misses so much poetic love-talk from God!
Thanks for letting me chatter. I hadn't really gotten so far as to put these meditations into words yet.
May you safely hear God's best for you, Shepherd Michael!
Deb,
I appreciate your points about David and the "noble" fear thing.
I think, deep down, what it is we are all really afraid of is Papa God's Love. It's difficult to put into words. Because of shame and fear Adam and Eve went into hiding when Love came walking in the garden . . .
Many thanks for the blessing!
Thank you!! This is SO TRUE. I want the revelation big time. I need Him to be the revelation!!!
Lots of love to you guys,
Shan
